Continuation from First Product Review – Corroseal – Part 1

Just a quick update.  I was out of town for a wedding the weekend after I ordered the sample of Corroseal. When we got back the sample was waiting for us in the mail.  I’ve been terribly busy catching up at work and around the house.  Being short on time I haven’t been able to work on my test project.  I will try and get to it as soon as possible, hopefully someday after work this week or next weekend.

I’ll tell you what though, if you’re interested in the results, leave a comment below and it will be “that” extra push for me to get this done.

One thing that always bugs me a little is a rusty trailer receiver hitch. I don’t know if there’s anything else that can so easily make a clean, nice looking vehicle look like crap.  New ones look all nice with their nice coats of black paint. Give it a year, especially here in the Midwest, and soon enough rust will appear.

So this morning I decided to order a sample of Corroseal.  Other than paying for shipping and handling, the sample is free 1.  Here’s a quick tip though, make sure to choose ‘USPS’ as the shipping method for the sample as it is much cheaper than ‘UPS Ground’ ($4.95 vs $11.77 for me).  If you go on to order more than just a sample, make sure to check both shipping costs as I have found that if I were to purchase just a quart, ‘UPS Ground’ would cost $12.26 versus $15.95 for ‘USPS’.

I placed my order this morning for the free sample. I hope it’s enough to cover what I need it for. I’ll post pictures before I get started and also afterwords. I don’t plan on removing my trailer hitch. If all goes well, I have another project I’d like to try… I have an older rusty dog kennel cage I’d like to freshen up.

Update: First Product Review – Corroseal – Part 1.5

Notes:

  1. Apparently, at one time, the shipping and handling was free too until some “FREE” websites found out about the offer and informed their followers so Rodda Paint received a ton of free sample requests. These requests weren’t by legitimate people that wanted to try a sample of Corroseal to convert rust, these requests were simple because it was free. So to ensure requests for the samples were legitimate they started charging shipping and handling. DISCLAIMER: I know this because I have a relative that works for Rodda Paint.
